Good news for travelers: since March 31, 2025, the TGV line connecting Paris to Milan via Lyon, Chambéry, Modane, and Turin is back in service. After a year and a half of interruption, this reopening marks a turning point for access to our beautiful valley. You can once again reach Chalet d'en Hô by train, comfortably, quickly... and while limiting your carbon footprint!

A year and a half of work to secure the line

The railway line was closed on August 27, 2023, following a major landslide in the Maurienne Valley near La Praz, near Modane (Savoie). Several tons of rock damaged the tracks and jeopardized the safety of the site.

Since then, extensive safety work has been carried out. Trains can now once again run between the two countries, to the delight of both regular travelers and vacationers.

How to get to Névache by train?

The reopening of the Paris-Milan line makes it much easier to reach Névache by train. Simply pass through Oulx station, located on the Italian side. It is served by several TGV trains every day.

And why not the Paris–Briançon night train?

For those who prefer to travel overnight, the Paris–Briançon night train remains an excellent alternative. Departing in the evening from Paris Austerlitz station, arriving in Briançon at daybreak: a practical, economical, and more environmentally friendly solution. From Briançon, you can reach Névache by shuttle or taxi. An ideal option for starting your vacation relaxed, without wasting a day traveling.
