The Valley of the Clarée en Winter

In winter, you will discover the Clarée Valley when putting on your Snowshoeing ou your Cross-country skis, or by driving a Dog sled.
Here, no noisy chairlifts or gondolas that disfigure the landscape, no buildings or large complexes, just unspoiled Nature, an authentic mountain village... and you.

Many Snowshoe walks are accessible from the Chalet d’en Hô; you will be able :

get into one of the Haute Vallée refuges for lunch or a hot drink
follow the Clarée to fontcouverte
walk in the forest where you might encounter an animal?
discover the Col de l’Echelle when the road is closed and it becomes a little “end of the world” againFor founders, our domain offers you 60 km Nordic trails and itineraries, green, blue, red, black trails, in the forest, in the sun, along the Clarée... Connections provide access to the other villages in the valley: Plampinet, Val-des-Prés, le Rosier ...
PRACTICAL: THE HOTEL IS LOCATED AT THE START OF THE CROSS-COUNTRY SLOPES, and right next to the ESF!

In winter, the Haute Vallée becomes wild again... the road is closed from Ville Haute. It then transforms into Nordic itinerary for skiers, snowshoe hikers, pedestrians ...

Sled Dogs, you have always dreamed of it... in Névache, you will make your dreams come true with our mushers and their teams of superb Malamutes!
As for fans of Nordic skiing, a huge playground is available to them!
Finally, children and adults will be able to do Alpine skiing thanks to our 2 ski lifts which serve a Green Piste and a Red Piste, open on weekends and school holidays.

The Valley of the Clarée en Summer

In summer, the Clarée Valley is a paradise for Hiking, with its 250 kms of marked trails, around thirty lacs, waterfalls impetuous...
You will find hiking departures all along the valley, including from the Chalet d’en Hô, to discover :

Easy walks along the Clarée,
lakes accessible in 1 hour or more (Laramon Lake and Serpent Lake for example),
summits with the mythical Mount Tabor which culminates at 3178 m above sea level or the Pointe des Cerces at 3097 m above sea level, and which offer a 360° view of all the Alps,
balcony circuits on the Ecrins like the famous Cerces Tower ...
