You will discover the Clarée Valley on cross-country skiing and snowshoeing with our Guide, far from the noise and the world of the big alpine ski resorts. And you may meet one of the many animals that still inhabit our mountains...And all this in the sun and fresh air!

Not to be missed: the introductory session on driving teams with our mushers: after a short theoretical training of 20 minutes to familiarize yourself with the dogs, to understand driving and to know the safety instructions, you will drive your sled pulled by 40 or 3 dogs, malamutes and huskies, for around 4 minutes, in following the musher's main sled. It’s sporty, it’s fun, and the dogs are adorable! An unforgettable experience !

• Sunday : Welcome to Névache in the afternoon of the 1st day. In the evening, welcome drink and information meeting.
• Monday  Cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, depending on availability, over two half-days in the Névache Nordic area. Please note that the stay generally begins with cross-country skiing (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday).
• Tuesday Cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, depending on availability, over two half-days in the Névache Nordic area. A full-day snowshoeing trip is also possible.
• Wednesday Half-day activity: cross-country skiing: technical lesson; snowshoeing: walk. Half-day of relaxation in the afternoon.
• Thursday and Friday : Day hikes to discover the magnificent site of the Haute Vallée de La Clarée and its summer chalets buried under the snow, the very beautiful cirque of the Col de l'Échelle, or to enjoy yourself on the area traced as far as Basse Clarée.
• Saturday : End of stay after breakfast.

NB: The dog sledding activity will take place on one of the first 2 days, morning or afternoon depending on the musher's availability.

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES

Our team of instructors offers you several "snow" activities to freely compose your stay: cross-country skiing, snowshoe or dog sled rides, Nordic hiking, sledding, snowman building. Every evening the instructors will offer the different activities for which you can register.
You will all be able to do cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and the discovery session of sled driving. If one of you only wants to do one activity during the whole week, he or she can do so, except for sled driving (only 1 session)
On the program, there will be no activity on Wednesday afternoon in order to enjoy it with family.

Cross-country skiing
You too are impatient to do everything: in the morning it is the learning of cross-country skiing, so light but still cumbersome. With a lot of patience, your instructors will find plenty of tips to help you slide, turn, brake, and quickly it will be the pleasure of sliding along the Clarée then, of passing the small bumps, the turning step, the snowplough and the skating.

Racket
On snowshoes, after discovering Névache and its hamlets, you will venture on the trail of the white hare, the wild boar, the roe deer and perhaps even the wolf. Day hikes will take you higher into the mountain pastures towards the refuges and you will surely see the Écrins and Vanoise massifs in the distance. Off-piste cross-country skiing The other way to do cross-country skiing. After the initiation at the beginning of the week, you will discover the unmarked routes of the upper Clarée valley or the Col de l'Echelle by setting off for the day. Your cross-country skis will be equipped with seal skins to make the climb easier. You will be able to enjoy the glide on the descents. Sled Dogs
And the sled dogs, you've been waiting for so long, here they are! You'll finally pet them, put their harnesses on them, harness them and try to steer the team: left, right, stop! Be careful! They're smart and they'll quickly let you push the team and rest! You'll be in a group for half a day and you'll take turns on the sleds. You'll have about 40 minutes of driving... If there are more of you than there are sleds, you'll take turns driving. Children can also drive from the age of 12

CHILDREN
They too will be able to practice several activities:
Cross-country skiingChildren aged 4 to 12 will be looked after by the Névache Ski School in group lessons according to their age and level. We will take care of dropping them off and picking them up.
From 4 to 7 years old, they will only go in the morning. In the afternoon, a young girl will look after them at the hotel or outside near the terrace where they can go sledding and make snowmen (included in the package).
From the age of 7, they return to the Ski School in the afternoon for fun activities around skiing (biathlon, ski hockey, etc.)
For children aged 12 and over, they will practice cross-country skiing and snowshoeing activities with adults.
In dog sledding, they will be accompanied by their parents. They will be able to drive from the age of 12.
