Elevation gain: 600 to 900m, 5 to 6 hours of walking
  • Day 4: The Tour des Cerces (choice of the short tour or the big tour)
Depending on your shape of the day, you can achieve the small or big tour of Cerces, starting from the Laval car park (2030m).
For the little tour of Cerces, from the hamlet of Laval (2030m) you follow the Clarée to its source, the Clarée lake, then you pass into Savoie via the Seuil des Rochilles (2459m) to make a loop which passes by the lakes and the pass des Rochilles (2496m) and the lake and the Col des Cerces (2574m).
Elevation gain: 544m, 5 to 6 hours of walking
Le grand tour of Cerces begins with the ascent of the Col des Béraudes (2770m) passing by the sumptuous turquoise lake of the same name. Then the loop takes you to the Col de la Ponsonnière (2613m) then to the lake and the Col des Cerces (2574m) before going back down to the Rochilles and Clarée lakes, then along the Clarée torrent.
Elevation gain: 1000m, 6 to 7 hours of walking
  • 5 Day: lakes Laramon and the Serpent
From Fontcouverte, you follow the access to the Ricou refuge then the magnificent winding path which leads to the first lake, the Laramon (2359m). Serpent Lake is very close (2448m). A postcard landscape awaits you, with the Ecrins massif in the background. As an option, you can attempt to climb the Pic du lac Blanc (2980m) via the Gardioles lakes. Likewise, on the way back, you can choose to return to Névache on foot via the walkway, a superb balcony path above the valley.
Elevation difference: 600m (+450m for the Pic), 5 to 7 hours of walking depending on the options
  • Day 6: Vallon and Col de Buffère
Leaving from Ville-Haute, you follow the right bank of the Clarée to the Pont de Rately (1749m) to reach the valley and the chalets of Buffère (2090m).
